Events & Societies Officer - Point Blank

Few months after beginning my studies at Point Blank, the school released some positions to represent students on the campus and overview activities like events, wellbeing or mentoring. In order to increase my network on the campus and for my interest in events, I decided to run as a candidate for Events & Societies Officer, a position voted by the students, and that I was lucky to be elected two years in a row.

Recently, I have also become a Student Mentor, a position where I’m advising students on how to articulate their aspirations and realise their potential. During these two years, I have the pleasure to help students organise their societies, with some cool ideas like:

• Film & TV Composition: who are currently collaborating with London Film School, providing all the audio engineering and music for other students.

• Songwriting society: A group that aims to support songwriters to improve their composition and lyrics, and connect with other writers, singers, producers, audio engineers and music management professionals.

• Dj society: These guys got their first residency at The Cause, and now they have their own events company called: Modern Funktion.

We have also hosted events in venues like Shoreditch Platform, Fabrik or Basing House. Playing an active role in the organisation and promotion of the events inside the campus. As well as produce and A&R artist for our ‘’Live lounge sessions’’:
